Gobbo protest of Conquest rules

Before the Big battle, hundreds of Goblin Volunteers staged a protest to the officials that not allowing figures that are demoralized from the start, cannot actively participate in the battle.  It was almost a Mob scene, as Red, Blue, and Yellow Goblins appeared en masse to show their frustration.  The only thing saving it, as Lumber the Wood Golem said, "They all seemed rather mellow about the whole thing."

Packer Backer Podo™ as leader of the Protest, came to one of the officials to personally deliver his message. "We strong.  We many.  We have right, be in big battles. Not right, not to be in big battle.  Me small.  Me make up, with many bro be battle with me. One Goblin, not much.  Many Goblins be very very bad for ANYONE. We fight to"

The head official looked at puny Packer Backer Podo™, snorted,  ate him, his protest, and with a booming voice said

"Remove figures from play immediately when they are demoralized, and award victory points as if those figures had been eliminated."

Several goblins died on the spot, some made very nasty messes on the battle field, and in their shorts. For a while they all stood there, until all three officials started moving forward, and Blasting indiscriminately any goblin that did not make a hasty retreat from the battlefield.

The onlookers could here shouts coming from the Goblins "Run!" "This is worse then Zebranski" "Not another 12 change of underwear trip" "My cereal bowl will protect me" "We're deader then tube tops!" and "Run!"

Sadly, for the upcoming battle.  No goblin volunteers were able to volunteer, but many were harmed in the opening ceremonies/protest, and the making of this story

On June 26th, 2002, Wizkids released the new conquest rules.  A minor oversight was corrected.

I would personally like to thank Wizkids, on behalf of MANY of the Mage-Knight players, for letting Goblin Volunteers play in conquest games.  It might have been a minor oversight, but I personally know about 1000 Goblin Volunteers (along with Packer Backer Podo™, and his many brothers) who are glad to have their chance, no their RIGHT to fight in large battles.

this thread at MKrealms.com is a legacy of how players can stick together and change the game they love so much.  And we are allways willing to do it for those little guys.

Be sure to check out the Victory party!

Thanks!
